Since 2017, we have published 39 tip blog posts — informative articles covering interesting techniques you can use in your own apps. Eight of these posts include live app demos to illustrate the techniques in action.
Until now, you couldn’t work with those demo apps in Calcapp Creator. We recognize that being able to study and modify these examples is valuable for learning, so starting today, those eight tip posts now include a link that creates a new app in Creator based on the demo app.
When you create a new app in Creator, you’ll also find these tip templates available alongside the standard sample apps and Blank template option.
Here are the tip posts now available as templates:
- Multi-level drop-downs
- Display only selected screens
- Determine the number of toggled switch fields
- Perform calculations when a button is pressed
- Require a button to be pressed
- Decide which image to show with a formula
- Summarize switch field selections in a single sentence
- Display all US legal holidays for a given year
These templates make it easier to understand advanced techniques and adapt them for your own projects. Simply open any tip post and look for the template link to get started.
